Webbed Toe Productions
Sometime in 2005, the two of us decided it was time to change our production title from "Playground Pond Inc." This eventually led to the creation of a poll featuring multiple possibilities. The poll was handed out to our family, who had such varying opinions, that it barely helped us decide. Briefly, we began using "Webbed Toe," but soon started using "Mallard Brothers / Webbed Toe" instead. Though, for the sake of organization, all the projects from this era are referred to with the former.
The adoption of this new name coincided with our gained ability and insight into editing. Before this point, all of our films were edited during filming, most were featured in large anthologies, had date stamps in the corner, and consisted mainly of parodic writing. However, when editing became a new possibility, we set out to reinvent our film making. Our movies became stand-alone films, featured original writing, had no date stamp, and were edited after filming. This also opened the door to various simplistic special effects. The editing was quite bad, since it was accomplished using a complex network of VCRs and DVD Recorders.
This name stuck until 2009, when we decided to simplify it into just "Mallard Brothers Productions," which remains the current.
